Quality documentation
Certificates of Analysis
Batch-level analytical documentation for every research material we supply.
Last updated: 2 October 2026
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is the analytical record for a specific manufacturing batch. It lets you verify the identity and purity of the material you receive and keep a traceable record for your laboratory files. Every research material we sell is supplied with the COA for its batch.
What a COA contains
- Product and batch identification: compound name, declared quantity per vial or pen, batch (lot) number and manufacture or test date.
- Purity by HPLC: high-performance liquid chromatography separates the compound from related substances; purity is reported as the main-peak area percentage, with the chromatogram.
- Identity by mass spectrometry (MS): where reported, the measured molecular mass is compared with the theoretical mass of the expected sequence or structure.
- Appearance and content: physical description (for example white lyophilised powder) and, where tested, peptide content.
- Storage conditions: the conditions under which the batch should be kept.
How to read the key numbers
HPLC purity tells you what proportion of the detected material is the target compound. MS identity confirms that the main component has the expected molecular mass. Together they answer the two questions a research buyer needs answered: is this the right compound, and how much of the sample is it. Always match the batch number on the COA to the batch number on your vial or pen label.
Where to find a COA
- On each product page, where the current batch COA is available to view or download.
- In the parcel, or by email on request after dispatch, matched to your batch.
- By request: email [email protected] with the product name and batch number (or your order number) and we will send the certificate, normally within one business day.
Batch changes
When stock moves to a new batch, the COA is updated to match. If you need the COA for a specific batch you received previously, quote the batch number from your label and we will supply it.
What a COA is not
A COA is analytical documentation for laboratory record keeping. It is not a registration, approval or authorisation for human or veterinary use, and it does not change the research-use-only status of any product. See our research-use-only policy.
