BeSkinny Research (“we”, “us”) supplies research peptides and laboratory reference compounds to purchasers in South Africa. Every product, every batch and every format we sell is intended solely for in-vitro, analytical and other laboratory research carried out by suitably qualified persons. Our products are not medicines, medical devices, foods, dietary supplements or cosmetics, and nothing on this website should be read as suggesting otherwise.

1. Intended use

• Products are supplied for laboratory research only: in-vitro studies, analytical work, assay development and comparable research in an appropriate facility.
• They are not intended, licensed or approved for use in humans or animals, or for the diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation or prevention of any disease or condition.
• They must not be administered to, applied to, or consumed by any person or animal in any way.
• Labels, packaging and documentation are provided for identification and record keeping only.

2. South African regulatory position

Our products are not registered with the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) as medicines, complementary medicines or medical devices, and they are not offered, advertised or sold as such. No product has been evaluated or approved by SAHPRA or any other regulator for human or veterinary use. Purchasers are responsible for complying with every law and institutional requirement that applies to their research, including the Medicines and Related Substances Act 101 of 1965 where relevant.

3. Purchaser declaration

At checkout every purchaser completes a research-use declaration, and the order is not accepted without it. By placing an order you confirm that:

• you are 18 years of age or older and legally able to enter into a contract;
• you are acquiring the products for laboratory research only, and not for human or veterinary use of any kind;
• you, or the personnel you supply, have the knowledge, training and facilities to handle, store and dispose of research materials safely and lawfully;
• you will not resell or supply the products to anyone for human or veterinary use, or in any way that breaches applicable law; and
• you accept full responsibility for the lawful and safe handling of the products you receive.

4. Prohibited uses

You may not use, or permit anyone else to use, our products:

• in or on humans, including self-experimentation;
• in or on animals outside an approved and lawful research protocol;
• as, or as an ingredient of, a medicine, food, supplement, cosmetic or household product;
• for diagnostic or clinical purposes; or
• for any purpose that is unlawful in South Africa or in your jurisdiction.

5. No medical advice

Nothing on this website, in our emails or in any communication from our team is medical, clinical, veterinary or nutritional advice. Product pages describe compounds as research materials and summarise published laboratory literature for context only. Reported research findings are not a claim that any product produces any effect in a person. We do not publish, and our team will not provide, any information on administering our products to people or animals. Questions of that kind will not be answered. If you have a health concern, consult a registered healthcare professional.

6. Our right to refuse or cancel

We may decline, cancel or refund any order, at any stage before dispatch, if we reasonably believe that a product is intended for human or veterinary use, that the purchaser is under 18, that the research-use declaration is untrue, or that the order breaches this policy or any law. We may also close the account concerned. Where we cancel a paid order under this clause we refund the amount paid to the original payment method.

7. Safe handling

Research materials should be handled only by trained personnel using appropriate protective equipment and laboratory controls. Store each product as stated on its label and product page, keep products out of the reach of children and animals, and dispose of unused material and packaging in line with applicable waste regulations.

8. Quality documentation

Each batch is analysed by HPLC for purity, with mass-spectrometry identity confirmation where stated on the certificate, and is supplied with a batch Certificate of Analysis.
