1. Who we are

This website (beskinny.co.za) is operated by BeSkinny Research, trading as BeSkinny, of 9th Floor, 5th St, Sandhurst, Sandton, 2196, South Africa. Contact: [email protected]. By using the website or placing an order you agree to these terms, our research-use-only policy, our privacy policy, our shipping policy and our refund & returns policy, which form part of these terms.

2. Research use only

For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use, diagnosis, treatment or any clinical application. Our products are not medicines, medical devices, foods, dietary supplements or cosmetics, are not registered with SAHPRA for human or veterinary use, and are not sold as such. No statement on this website is a medical, therapeutic or performance claim.

3. Purchaser warranties

By placing an order you warrant and confirm that:

• you are at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to contract;
• you are purchasing the products solely for lawful laboratory research and have completed the research-use declaration at checkout truthfully;
• you will not use, or allow anyone to use, the products in or on humans or animals, as a medicine, food, supplement or cosmetic, or for any diagnostic or clinical purpose;
• you have the training and facilities to store, handle and dispose of the products safely and in accordance with applicable law; and
• you will not resell or supply the products to any person for human or veterinary use.

You indemnify BeSkinny Research against any loss, claim or liability arising from your breach of these warranties or from any use of the products contrary to these terms, to the extent permitted by law.

4. Orders and acceptance

• An order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm payment and dispatch, or email you an order confirmation, whichever comes first.
• We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch, for example where stock is unavailable, where a pricing error has occurred, or where we reasonably believe the order breaches our research-use-only policy. Any amount paid is refunded in full to the original payment method.
• Product images are illustrative; labels and packaging may vary between batches.

5. Prices and payment

• All prices are shown in South African rand (ZAR). The total payable, including the flat-rate shipping charge, is shown at checkout before you place your order.
• We accept debit and credit card payments (Visa and Mastercard) through a secure hosted payment page. We do not accept bank transfer (EFT). An order is confirmed once the card payment is authorised.
• Orders are dispatched once payment has been confirmed.

6. Delivery

We deliver within South Africa only, by tracked courier. Handling and transit times, costs and packaging are set out in our shipping policy. Risk in the products passes to you on delivery.

7. Returns, cancellations and refunds

You may return unopened items with the tamper seal intact within 7 days of delivery. Full details, including the ECTA cooling-off period and how refunds are paid, are in our refund & returns policy. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, to the extent they apply.

8. Product information

Product descriptions and specifications describe compounds as research materials and summarise published laboratory literature for context. They are not instructions for use, and they are not medical advice. Certificates of Analysis are supplied for laboratory record keeping (see Certificates of Analysis).

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the price paid for the products concerned. We are not liable for any loss arising from use of the products contrary to these terms or to our research-use-only policy, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under South African law.

10. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

12. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you place your order applies to that order.
