Description
IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 IGF-1) is an 83-amino-acid analogue of human insulin-like growth factor 1 with an arginine substitution at position 3 and a 13-residue N-terminal extension. These changes sharply reduce its binding to IGF-binding proteins.
It is widely used as a cell-culture reagent and in laboratory studies of IGF-1 receptor signalling, the PI3K/Akt and MAPK pathways and cell proliferation in vitro.
Supplied by Body Pharm as 100 mcg IGF-1 LR3 of lyophilised powder in a sealed glass vial, with a batch Certificate of Analysis. Store sealed at -20 °C, protected from light.
