Description

Somatropin is recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH): a 191-amino-acid, 22 kDa single-chain protein with two disulfide bridges, identical in sequence to pituitary-derived human growth hormone.

It is used as a reference protein in laboratory studies of growth hormone receptor (GHR) binding, JAK2/STAT5 signalling, hepatic IGF-1 expression and somatotropic-axis research in cell and preclinical models.
